On 18 June 2013, Zagreb EU Information Centre held the formal opening ceremony for the "WILL4WIND – Weather Intelligence for Wind Energy" project funded by the EU through the Science and Innovation Investment Fund (SIIF) Grant Scheme for component IPA IIIc.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Meteorological and Hydrological Service (DHMZ), project holder; Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER), partner; and collaborating institutions being the Croatian Transmission System Operator Ltd. (HOPS), Hrvoje Požar Energy Institute (EIHP) and RP Global Projekti d.o.o.
Present at the ceremony were also representatives of the Ministry of Economy (ME), Croatian Environmental Agency (CEA), Croatian Energy Market Operator Ltd. (HROTE), Ministry of Science, Education and Sports (MSES), Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FSB).
The attendees were addressed by Boris Makšijan, ME; Sandra Lušetić, SIIF, MSES; Ivan Čačić, Director of DHMZ. The project and partners were presented by Kristian Horvath, WILL4WIND Project Leader, DHMZ; Mato Baotić, FER; Ana Horvat Sedlić, HOPS; Goran Granić, Director of EIHP.
