EWEA(European Wind Energy Association) 2014 Conference was held in Barcelona from March 10th until March 13th 2014.
It is Europe's leading event in the field of wind energy that presents and demonstrates to energy sector the latest achievements.
To ensure an optimal support to wind energy management in Croatia under the Weather Intelligence for Wind Energy – WILL4WIND project, the following wind farms (WFs) have so far been paid a visit: Danilo, Kamensko, Orlice, Pometeno Brdo, Ponikve, Ravne, Trtar-Krtolin, Voštane, as well as ZD2, ZD3 and ZD6 (Velika Popina).
Promoting the Croatian economy, Zagreb Fair held the 2nd International Fair of Energetics between 1 and 4 Oct 2013.
Hoping to help advance business opportunities and channel investment towards energetic efficiency and projects focusing on renewable energy sources, the Energy Conference held on 2 and 3 October 2013 was the backbone of the Fair.
A two-day “Challenges in Meteorology 3 – Extreme Weather and Impact on Society” scientific conference was held by the Croatian Meteorological Society (HMD) on 21 and 22 November 2013 at the Kraš auditorium, Ravnice, Zagreb. Co-organizers were the Meteorological and Hydrological Service (DHMZ) and Geophysics Department, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.
Focusing on the impact of growingly frequent extreme weather phenomena on the society, the Conference presented eighty or so scientific and expert papers, 42 of which oral presentations, 28 posters and eight workshops.
An interdisciplinary workshop titled ''Meteorology and Wind Energy Management'' was held on 9 July 2013 between 08:30 and 14:00 hrs. in the auditorium at Kraš factory, Ravnice 48, Zagreb.
